This experiential program allows young people to visit families raising children, experience the realities of parenting, and consider life plans such as marriage, childbirth, and child-rearing. Information about the Children's Dream Support Program

Central Children's Hall Aikuru is a facility that aims to promote the healthy development of children through play and activities, childcare support programs, temporary care for infants and toddlers, club activities, seasonal events and various other activities. Opening hours: 9:00am - 9:00pm Closed: Every Monday, the last day of each month, and the New Year holidays (December 28th - January 3rd of the following year) *If a Monday falls on a national holiday, the facility will be closed the following day *If the last day of the month falls on a Sunday or national holiday, the facility will be closed the following day Usage fee: Free There are some fees, such as the use of the temporary care room, club activity fees and rental of auxiliary equipment. Regarding child support: When a couple with minor children divorces, one parent will be designated as the guardian. The guardian is responsible for custody and upbringing of the child, providing daily care and education. They also manage the child's property and make consents to the child's legal actions. In Fukuoka City, elementary school playgrounds are opened to the public on weekends and other school holidays as a safe play area for children. Children can use the playgrounds for play and exercise. (However, this does not apply to Teruha Elementary School, Teruha Kita Elementary School, Teruha Habataki Elementary School, Katsuma Elementary School, Sumiyoshi Elementary School, Noko Elementary School, and Oro Elementary School.) Eligible Users: In principle, preschool children (accompanied by a guardian), elementary school students, and junior high school students. Usage Fee: Free (no special procedures are required). Opening Days: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and during long school holidays such as summer vacation. A blue flag (see diagram below) is displayed on opening days. However, the playgrounds will not be open when events are being held on the playgrounds, or during rainy or extremely hot days. The Asian-Pacific Children's Conference in Fukuoka is a citizen-level international exchange program that began as a commemorative project for the Asia-Pacific Expo - Yokatopia held in 1989. It aims to bring together children from the Asia-Pacific region who will lead the 21st century in Fukuoka, and also to send children from Fukuoka to the Asia-Pacific region, deepening mutual understanding beyond language differences and nurturing global citizens who look out at the world. With the cooperation of many citizens, including approximately 600 volunteers and 300 host families each year, the program is currently run primarily by these citizen volunteers.
