Subsidy for creating a place for junior and senior high school students

News

On April 8, 4, the guidelines for the "Subsidy for Creating Places for Junior and Senior High School Students (formerly the Subsidy for Young People's Platt Home Support Project)" were revised.

We provide grants to organizations that create places for young people in the community.

Subsidies are provided to organizations that establish and operate places for young people, primarily junior and senior high school students, with the aim of preventing delinquency among young people and promoting their healthy development.

*The subsidy period is a maximum of four years (three years for organizations that have already established a youth space), but if you implement new initiatives to support the healthy development and self-formation of young people, you can apply again even after the maximum period has expired. Furthermore, from fiscal year 2024, in order to support the maintenance and continuous operation of youth spaces, there will be no restrictions on the subsidy period for new initiatives for the time being.

Subsidy overview

The program is aimed at creating a place for young people and meets all of the following requirements.

1. Have opened or are planning to open a shelter in Fukuoka City
2. The users are young people, mainly junior and senior high school students.
3. The purpose of the project is to prevent delinquency and promote healthy development of young people, mainly junior and senior high school students.
4. Religious or political activities, not for profit
5. The frequency of opening is at least once a month.
6. Each session lasts approximately 3 hours or more.
7. A person in charge is always available during opening hours.
8. In addition to the person in charge, at least one staff member is secured and assigned to be able to provide consultation to users and assist with their activities.

Eligible organizations

Organizations that carry out activities that meet all of the above requirements and have articles of incorporation and rules (however, organizations with religious or political activities are not eligible).

Target expenses

1. Start-up cost subsidy (up to 10 yen)
    Construction contract expenses and equipment purchase expenses (what the city defines as equipment)
   *Limited to groups opening new spaces (one-time only)
2. Business expense subsidy (maximum amount varies depending on frequency of opening)
    Venue rental fee, utility costs, printing consumables costs, subsidized equipment purchase costs, etc.
    *This applies to both organizations that are opening new shelters and organizations that are currently operating shelters.

Application method

Please attach the following documents to the "Fukuoka City Junior and Senior High School Students Place-Creating Subsidy Application Form" and submit it to the relevant department by hand, mail, or email after contacting us in advance.

1. Business plan
2. Business income and expenditure plan
3. Business financing plan
4. Articles of incorporation, rules and officers of the implementing organization
5. The organization's financial statements and a pamphlet detailing the organization's activities. *Only for organizations that are already active
6. Initiatives to support young people *Only for organizations that apply for an extended subsidy period
