School grounds open during the day

In Fukuoka City, elementary school grounds are open to the public on weekends and other school holidays as a safe playground for children. Children can use the school grounds for play and exercise.

(However, this program is not offered at Teruha Elementary School, Teruha Kita Elementary School, Teruha Habataki Elementary School, Katsuma Elementary School, Sumiyoshi Elementary School, Noko Elementary School, and Oro Elementary School.)

Target users

In principle, infants (accompanied by a guardian), elementary school students, and junior high school students

Usage fees

Free (no special procedures required)

Date of establishment

During long holidays such as Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and summer vacation.
On the opening day, a blue flag (see image below) will be raised.
However, this will not be held when events are being held on the school grounds, when it is raining, or on extremely hot days.

Utilization time

In principle, Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and long holidays 13:00-17:00
(Times may vary depending on school district.)
