Fukuoka 1-day parenting experience program

This is an experiential program where young people visit families with children, get a firsthand feel for the reality of parenting life, and think about life plans such as marriage, childbirth, and child-rearing.

We are looking for participants who want to experience the real daily life of a family raising children.

• Target audience: Residents, employees, or students of Fukuoka City who are interested in giving birth and raising children in Fukuoka City.
• Capacity: Approximately 10 people per session

Flow after application

1. Interviews (conducted sequentially after the application deadline)

The secretariat will contact you to inquire about your preferences regarding the families we will be visiting. (Approximately 30 minutes online)

2. Matching (7-10 days before the implementation date)

Based on the results of the interview, we will match you with a family to visit.
The secretariat will contact you regarding the date, time, and meeting place.

3. Program participation

We will visit families with children.

Program flow

1. Pre-training

Beforehand, participants will learn about how to interact with children through videos and prepare by thinking about questions they would like to ask experienced parents. (Approximately 1 hour / Individual video viewing)

2. Child-rearing experience

You will interact with families raising preschool-aged children (ages 0-6) in groups of three. You can receive advice from these families on questions and concerns about childbirth, childcare, and other related topics. (Approximately 3 hours / In-person / One staff member will accompany you)

3. Reflection
