Initiatives for the early identification and support of children in need of assistance

Due to factors such as the rise of nuclear families and the weakening of community ties, families raising children are becoming increasingly isolated, making it difficult to see the circumstances of children and families facing difficulties.

In Fukuoka City, under the "6th Fukuoka City Comprehensive Plan for Children (FY2025-FY2029)," efforts are being made to create an environment where children and families can easily seek advice, such as the "Fukuoka City Children's Tablet Consultation" which utilizes GIGA School terminals, and the "Diaper and Peace of Mind Regular Delivery" which delivers diapers and other supplies while providing regular checks.

Furthermore, by coordinating information related to children, such as welfare and education, and utilizing it appropriately while respecting personal information, we are working to identify children facing difficulties early on and connect them with the necessary support.

■Initiatives

● A system will be developed to link and utilize various types of information related to children, targeting children up to the third year of junior high school.
● Through the use of systems and human verification, proactive support is provided to children who appear to be in need of assistance.
● The system will be used as a support tool for operations at child guidance centers and childcare support divisions in each ward.
