Holiday childcare

Holiday childcare is a childcare service that can be used by parents of children enrolled in licensed childcare facilities in Fukuoka City (licensed childcare centers, the childcare functions of certified children's centers, home-based childcare programs, small-scale childcare programs, and in-house childcare programs) when they are unable to care for their children on Sundays or public holidays due to work or other reasons.

Children currently attending licensed childcare facilities in Fukuoka City (licensed childcare centers, childcare functions of certified childcare centers, home-based childcare services, small-scale childcare services, and in-company childcare services) who need childcare on weekends for the same reasons as those for using childcare facilities, such as work.

Sundays, holidays specified by the National Holidays Act, December 29th and December 30th

Membership Fee

It is included in the monthly childcare fee.

Precautions for use

If you use holiday childcare, please set aside Monday through Saturday as an alternative day when your child is not using the facility. (You cannot use the facility for more than six days a week.)

Usage procedure

Advance application (registration application) is required at the daycare center offering holiday childcare. Please contact the center to confirm.

Other considerations

• Those who are using kindergartens, certified child care centers (educational functions), corporate-run child care facilities, or other unlicensed child care facilities cannot use (register for) this service.
• Those who have already decided to use a licensed childcare facility (a childcare facility that operates from Monday to Saturday) can also apply, but holiday childcare can only be used from the start date of use at the licensed childcare facility.
• Those who have not yet decided to use a licensed childcare facility cannot apply. Please apply only after you have decided to use the facility.
