Postnatal care business information

Postpartum care programs are carried out at medical institutions and midwifery clinics to provide mental and physical care and support for childcare after birth.

Target person

Person who corresponds to all of the following

  • Those who have a resident card in Fukuoka City
  • Babies under one year old and their mothers, or women who have experienced a miscarriage or stillbirth within one year (excluding pregnant women)
    Note: The acceptable age range varies depending on the operator.
  • Neither the baby nor the mother needs medical treatment
    Note: Please refrain from using the facility if you have a fever or sore throat.

Notes on usage fees

  • Households receiving welfare benefits and those exempt from municipal tax will be exempt from paying this fee.
  • Those wishing to receive a reduction or exemption must submit, along with their application form, a welfare receipt certificate if they are a household receiving welfare, or a municipal tax exemption certificate for the head of household (a municipal tax exemption certificate for the previous year if applying between April and June).
  • Please pay your copayment directly to the provider.
  • Overnight programs include three meals (two meals on the first and last days), and day programs include lunch (visit programs do not include meals).
    Please consult with the operator in advance if you wish to provide baby food.

Note: Depending on the operator's situation, the service may not be available on the desired date.
After use, subsidy may not be available if requirements cannot be confirmed (you may be required to pay the full usage fee yourself).

Things necessary

  • Maternal and child health handbook
  • Fukuoka City Postpartum Care Service Utilization Certificate
  • baby clothes
  • Gauze, bath towel
  • Breast pads, a change of clothes for the mother, toiletries, etc. (Please contact the business for details)

Note: If you are staying at a facility (overnight or day trip), you may use the diapers, wipes, and powdered milk provided by the facility.

  • When using this service,Please cooperate and refrain from cancelling your reservation without notice.(Regarding cancellations due to the convenience of those who wish to use the service,If you do not contact us by 5:00 p.m. two days before the start date of use, a cancellation fee will be charged.
