Fukuoka City has opened the "Fukuoka City Youth General Counseling Center Youth Support Hub" to support young people and their families who are in difficult situations that make it difficult for them to live in society, such as those who are not attending school or who are withdrawn from society.
Qualified counselors will provide consultations in person, over the phone or online. (*Consultations are conducted in private booths, so you can consult without worrying about others around you.)

The role of the youth support hub

This is a consultation center that provides support to young people (residents of the city, generally between the ages of 15 and 39) and their families who are in difficult situations in their social lives, such as not attending school or becoming withdrawn. Depending on the content of the consultation, we can introduce and connect you to appropriate support organizations.

What you can do at the Youth Support Hub

  • Information provision and collaboration support
We work in cooperation with government agencies and private organizations, etc. We can coordinate support from multiple sources and connect you to the appropriate support.
  • Accompanying and monitoring support
A counselor will accompany you on your first visit to the support facility we have introduced to you, and we will also provide ongoing support after the introduction.

Contents that can be consulted

  • School refusal, social withdrawal, job uncertainty, financial difficulties, developmental disabilities, delinquency, etc.
*Professional counselors such as licensed psychologists and social workers will provide consultation and work with government agencies and private organizations to consider support methods.
*All consultations received will be kept confidential.
  • Consultation example
    • I am worried about my future because I can't go to school (high school, college, etc.)
    • I can't find a job or I can't keep one
    • I am having trouble with relationships
    • I feel lonely and out of place
    • Spending too much time on the internet and playing games has resulted in a reversal of day and night schedules, etc.
