Youth development and delinquency prevention activities in the community

Fukuoka City has established the following systems to promote and encourage various activities for the healthy development of young people in the community.

Juvenile protection patrol officer

"Juvenile Protection Patrol Officers" (the name varies by ward) have been appointed in each school district to grasp the actual living conditions of young people in the community, to discover problems that may be an unhealthy environment in the local community or an obstacle to healthy development at an early stage, and to implement measures and guidance appropriate to the actual situation.

A store that looks after young people

In order to prevent first-time delinquency among juveniles, we are working to strengthen the community's delinquency prevention system through activities such as "saying words of love" to juveniles, with the cooperation of stores that have frequent contact with juveniles.

Youth Healthy Development Encouragement Award

The Fukuoka City Youth Healthy Development Encouragement Award is presented to individuals and groups who have been actively involved in the healthy development of young people and the prevention of delinquency in the community for many years and have contributed to local youth development activities, in order to encourage their activities.
