A.Ultrasound examination at the checkup around the 20th week of pregnancy (ticket number 4)
If you received the subsidy voucher before March 7, 3, there is no need to exchange it, so please simply visit a medical institution.
Two.Cervical cancer screening as part of prenatal checkups
If you do not have a cervical cancer screening subsidy voucher, subsidy vouchers will be available at each medical institution that provides prenatal checkups, so please simply visit the medical institution.

Grant details
You will be issued a "Fukuoka City Prenatal Checkup Subsidy Coupon/Parturient Maternal Checkup Subsidy Coupon Set" (for 14 visits) along with your Maternal and Child Health Handbook. Even if you use this subsidy coupon to receive medical care, you may still need to pay additional fees to the medical institution for tests that are not covered by the subsidy.
*In addition to the above subsidy vouchers, pregnant women with multiple births will also be issued "Fukuoka City Prenatal Health Checkup Subsidy Vouchers (for Multiple Births)" (for 5 visits).

Inspection item
There are basic test items and test items that are performed according to the number of weeks of pregnancy.
Basic inspection items (performed every time)

- 1st time (early pregnancy) - Blood type, indirect Coombs' test, hemoglobin, syphilis serology, hepatitis B antigen, hepatitis C antibody, HIV antibody titer, rubella HI antibody, HTLV-XNUMX antibody, blood sugar test, ultrasound test
- 6th time (around 26 weeks) - Anemia
- 7th time (around 28 weeks) - Genital chlamydia test
- 8th time (around 30 weeks) - anemia, blood sugar, ultrasound
- 10th time (around 34 weeks) - Group B Streptococcus test
- 4th, 12th (around 20 weeks, 37 weeks) - Ultrasound examination
- Others: Cervical cancer screening
Medical institutions where subsidy vouchers can be used
- Commissioned medical institutions and midwifery clinics in Fukuoka Prefecture Pregnant women with resident registration in Fukuoka City
- Contracted medical institutions in Saga and Oita prefectures
If you are unable to use the subsidy voucher due to returning home, etc.
We will subsidize the cost of prenatal checkups for those who were unable to use the subsidy voucher when they received the checkup. (However, there is a maximum amount of the subsidy. Also, the subsidy is limited to the cost of the checkup while you were a resident of this city. Expenses related to insurance-covered medical treatment are not subsidized.) The application period is up to the end of the month six months after the date of birth, etc.

If you move out of Fukuoka City
If you move out of Fukuoka City (change your resident registration), you will no longer be able to use the Fukuoka City subsidy voucher. Please go through the replacement procedure for your voucher at the maternal and child health program division of the local government where you have moved to.
Dental health check for pregnant women
During your pregnancy, you can visit a dental clinic designated by the city (look for a sticker) using the consultation ticket attached to your maternal and child health handbook.

Postnatal health check-up
Maternity health check-up
We will subsidize the costs of maternal health checkups (starting January 2021).
It is said that after giving birth, women are prone to physical and mental disorders due to changes in hormonal balance and environment.
It is a good idea to have a mental and physical health check at an obstetric medical institution shortly after giving birth, such as two weeks or one month after giving birth.
Eligible persons
Those who meet all of the following conditions
- Those who reside in Fukuoka City on the day of the maternity health check
- Those who have given birth within 8 weeks
Time and number of times
Up to two times in total, once around two weeks after giving birth and once around one month after giving birth (can be taken up to eight weeks after giving birth)
Health checkup content
Interview, medical examination, weight and blood pressure measurement, urine test (protein and sugar), mental health check
*Examinations and treatments other than those listed above, baby checkups, and examinations covered by insurance are not eligible for subsidies.
*If not all of the medical checkups are carried out, you may not be eligible for the subsidy.
*Depending on the results of your health check, medical institutions may contact your ward's health and welfare center.
How it works
- If you undergo a medical examination at a medical institution in or outside Fukuoka City
Along with the Maternal and Child Health Handbook, you will be issued a "Fukuoka City Prenatal Checkup Subsidy Coupon/Postpartum Checkup Subsidy Coupon."
*If you give birth at a medical institution within Fukuoka City, please check with the medical institution where you gave birth to see if a medical checkup can be carried out. - If you received your medical examination at a medical institution other than the one providing the examination, such as outside the city
If you have paid the cost yourself, please apply for reimbursement (refund). (There are conditions and limits for subsidies.)

If you are moving to Fukuoka City
You can use the Fukuoka City subsidy voucher from the day you move in. The subsidy voucher can be obtained from the Health Section of the Health and Welfare Center in your ward.
If you move out of Fukuoka City
If you move out of Fukuoka City, you cannot use the Fukuoka City subsidy voucher. Please contact the local government of your new location.
For medical institutions outside Fukuoka City

Dental checkups for infants and young children
Dental checkups for infants and children
Dentists at each kindergarten and nursery school conduct dental checkups once a year to detect cavities and other problems early and provide health guidance as needed.
Dental checkups for children with disabilities
We provide dental checkups once a year to preschool children with disabilities at a contracted dental clinic in order to prevent cavities and other problems from an early stage and to ensure that they have a regular dentist.
