Procedures for free childcare fees for second and subsequent children using non-licensed childcare facilities (including corporate-run childcare facilities)
Certification of benefits for large families
We offer subsidies (free of charge) for the use of non-licensed childcare facilities (including corporate-run childcare facilities) for those living in Fukuoka City who have a second or subsequent child between the ages of 0 and 2 (households subject to resident tax) who require childcare at such facilities.
To receive assistance, you must follow these steps:
Procedure flow

- [Step 2] After using the designated facility, the guardian pays the usage fee.

Points to note
- In principle, the certification start date cannot be earlier than the date on which the application was accepted by Fukuoka City.
- Please apply by the business day prior to your desired certification start date.
- The recommended application period is approximately one month before the desired start date of certification.
- If you are approved, please fill out the form for the Large Family Benefit Certification Application Form, which states "② Applicant (the guardian who will become the certified guardian)"
The guardian listed in the "Information" section will be the "certified guardian." - The applicant at the time of claim and the account to which the grant will be transferred will be that of the "certified guardian."
- A certificate of approval or rejection will be sent to your home within about one month from the date the application is accepted by Fukuoka City.

Application forms are available from each ward's child-rearing support department, as well as from eligible unlicensed childcare facilities and corporate-led childcare facilities.

How to apply for benefits for large families
Applications for certification for benefits for large families can be made by mailing the necessary documents or using the Cabinet Office's My Number Portal (Pittu Service).
Incidentally,If you have already received the "Certification for Benefits for Large Family Homes," you do not need to apply again.
Please submit a "change application" only if there are any changes to your child's situation or household situation.
In addition, the application form differs depending on the fiscal year you wish to start certification. If you wish to start certification by March 31, 2026, please apply using the "2025 fiscal year" form. If you wish to start certification on or after April 1, 2026, please apply using the "2026 fiscal year" form.

About change applications
If there are any changes in your household situation, such as moving, changing jobs, or changes in employment status, you must apply for the change as soon as possible.
Please submit to the following mailing address.

About claiming benefits
If a guardian who has been certified for benefits for large families uses a facility eligible for free care and pays the fees during the validity period of the certification, the benefit will be paid up to the maximum amount.
For details on the procedure, please refer to the Application Guide for Certification of Benefits for Large Family Families and the notice enclosed with the certification notice.
Billing process

① The certified guardian pays the usage fee to the facility
② The facility will issue a receipt and certificate of provision to the certified guardian.
③ The certified guardian requests the subsidy from Fukuoka City
④ Subsidies will be paid by Fukuoka City to certified guardians
FY7 Application Schedule for Large Family Benefit Subsidies
For certified guardians who have been approved for benefits for large families, claims for benefits will be accepted according to the schedule below.
Please submit the following to the Children's Future Bureau Operations Support Division: an invoice for the large family household fee, a receipt and certificate of provision (if you are using the Family Support Center program, a "Report on Assistance Activities"), and a copy of your bankbook or cash card to verify your account (for the first time and if there are any changes to the transfer details).

Please submit the necessary documents during the 1st to 6th application periods, and after screening, the benefits will be transferred to the certified guardian's account. If the application is submitted outside the application period, or if corrections or resubmissions are required, the payment date may differ from the above scheduled payment date.
Please note that the statute of limitations for claims is two years.
