Information on corporate-led childcare facilities

What is a corporate-led childcare business?

These are childcare facilities operated by companies, mainly for the children of their employees, with operating costs subsidized by the government.
There are employee quotas and local quotas, and if there is a local quota, children in the area who need childcare can also use it.

Target users

Corporate-run childcare facilities

Employee quota (all parents must be in one of the following situations)

  1. Being employed by the project owner.
  2. Have childcare certification (Type 2 or Type 3 certification).
  3. The project implementer must approve the following three items:
    • It will be normal to work more than the hours specified by the project implementer.                   
    • Being pregnant or having recently given birth.                   
    • At the time of taking childcare leave, you are already using a facility provided by a company-run childcare service and need to continue using it.
  4. The Child Development Association, a public interest incorporated foundation, recognizes that the child is in a condition equivalent to 2. and 3.

Regional quota (all parents must be in one of the following situations)

  1. Being employed by an employer that pays child and child-rearing contributions.
  2. Have childcare certification (Type 2 or Type 3 certification).
  3. The Child Development Association, a public interest incorporated foundation, recognizes that the situation is equivalent to 1 and 2.

About use

  • Corporate-run childcare facilities are facilities where parents contract directly with the childcare facility.
    Childcare facilities will verify parents' employment status by verifying their employment certificate or childcare certification (payment certificate).
  • Regarding childcare hours, fees, and other usage-related matters, please contact the facility directly as these vary depending on the facility.

Childcare fees

The fees are set by companies based on the standards of licensed childcare centers. (Unlike licensed childcare centers, the fees are not set according to income.)
In addition to the childcare fees, parents will be responsible for food and other miscellaneous expenses.
Childcare fees may vary depending on age, etc.
