People under the age of 20 who have severe physical or mental disabilities and require constant care in their daily lives are eligible for disability welfare benefits.

Message

Income Limits

There is an income limit for the Disabled Child Welfare Allowance. If the recipient (applicant)'s income exceeds the limit, or if the recipient's spouse or supporter's income is equal to or exceeds the limit, the allowance will not be paid.
If your income falls below the limit, you will be paid from August of the following year.

Payment method

If your eligibility is approved, you will receive benefits in February, May, August, and November each year, starting from the month following the month of application, up to the month before each month (3The allowance (for one month) will be deposited into the account of the financial institution designated by the claimant.

Payment details

FY2025: 16,100 yen per month (until March 2026)
FY2026: 16,560 yen per month (starting April 2026)

Who can apply?

The application should be made by the person concerned or their legal representative.
* If an application is made by someone other than the applicant (an authorized representative), a letter of attorney is required.
